StyleMint an exclusive t-shirt collection designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.



Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are going digital with their newest fashion venture.

In July, the entrepreneurs will launch StyleMint.com, in partnership with Santa Monica, Calif.-based BeachMint Inc., a company headed by Josh Berman, one of the original founders of MySpace.

StyleMint will meld e-commerce and social media platforms to offer consumers a personalized shopping experience, based on a monthly opt-out model, similar to book-, music- and wine-of-the-month clubs. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will help design and merchandise the offerings — starting with a collection of women’s fashion T-shirts retailing for $29.99 — as well as create regular videos for the site.

“Online commerce is the perfect medium for us to create a new brand that is as much about the clothing as it is about the customer experience,” said Ashley Olsen, who was in Seattle with her twin sister for a product knowledge seminar and an in-store appearance at Nordstrom scheduled for today. “BeachMint is the ideal partner, as they share our vision for the brand and have the resources and talent to execute it.”

ET brings you a sneak peek of 'Beastly,' a modern-day take on "Beauty and the Beast" with Mary-Kate Olsen.
The story focuses on 17-year-old Kyle Kingston (Alex Pettyfer), who is hot, popular and rich and gets whatever he wants. The character likes to play games and humiliate classmates and eventually zeros in on Goth girl Kendra (Mary-Kate). Kyle invites Kendra for a date and then -- true to form -- blows her off in a particularly harsh fashion. Mary-Kate's character then takes revenge by casting a spell that physically transforms Kyle into someone unrecognizable and horribly unattractive.
The only way to reverse this curse is to find someone who will love him in his new hideous form - a seemingly impossible task. But Pettyfer's character gets to know Lindy, played by Vanessa Hudgens, and this begins Kyle's journey to discover true love.
'Beastly' -- which also stars Dakota Johnson and Neil Patrick Harris -- hits theaters March 4.

First Look: The Row Fall 2011

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen have some surprises up their sleeves for fall. Some of them are made out of quilted leather and fox—including the most outsize and appealingly funny fur beanies ever seen. “We just decided to do what we love and be playful,” Mary-Kate said, while her sister tried on a full-skirted fox-and-alligator coat backward—and decided she fancied wearing it that way better.

The girls were working on shooting their lookbook ahead of their one-on-one (or is that two-on-one?) showroom appointments Monday, and it’s the winter luxury factor that will stun anybody who recalls that The Row started with a hit white T-shirt and a leather legging.
